All winter long, Groupe ADP, Météo France, the French Civil Aviation Authority (Direction Générale de l'Aviation Civile - DGAC) and the airlines work together to guarantee security at Paris-Charles de Gaulle and Paris-Orly.
All are ready to mobilize thier staff and equipment in the event of a snowy episode.
- Groupe ADP ensurs snow clearing in every aeronautical zone and keeps passengers and stakeholders informed of air traffic conditions through its communication channels. Hundreds of Groupe ADP' employees volunteer to ensuire the smooth running of Paris-Charles de Gaulle and Paris-Orly airports.
- Météo France communicate weather forescasts to those working at the hub. This organisation enables forescasts to be updated in real time.
- The French Civil Aviation Authority (Direction Générale de l'Aviation Civile) allows or refuses aircrafts to take off or land. It is responsable for air traffic control and can ask airlines to adapt their flight schedules according to weather conditions.
- Airlines inform and assist their passengers-customers in the evnet of flight delays or cancellations. The weather at origin and destinationa airports can also have an impact on flight schedules: delays or cancellations may therefoee be announced.
