Groupe ADP and Vastint Hospitality strengthen the hotel offering at Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport with a new Moxy by Marriott hotel

Groupe ADP, as landowner and developer, and Vastint Hospitality B.V., as investor, have signed a building lease for the construction of a new Moxy hotel at Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport.

Marriott International’s new brand, Moxy Hotels, offers a fresh new concept with original designs and affordable prices, designed mainly with millennial travellers in mind. Moxy Hotels aims to surprise travellers with a unique, fun and well-thought-out design approach, providing quality service, unique communal spaces, and rooms featuring cutting-edge technology.

Located in the Roissypole West side district, this Moxy*** hotel, covering 7,900 sq.m, has 292 rooms and adds to the airport’s existing hotel offering.
The hotel complies to the Groupe ADP's environmental policy in that the bio-sourced materials chosen significantly reduce the carbon impact of the project. In addition, the excellent energy performance of the future building can target LEED environmental certification "Gold" level. Due to an innovative construction method, the eight-storey facility can be delivered in just thirteen months.

Serge Grzybowski, Real Estate Director at Groupe ADP said:"With the long-term increase in air traffic, the construction of this Moxy hotel adds to the continued improvement of the accommodation facilities at the airport, as well as considerably enhancing    the quality of hotel services provided to our passengers and customers of our business districts. This new hotel project enables us to promote our property by developing the airport city: increasing the hotel offering at Paris-Charles de Gaulle has made it possible to double the Airport’s accommodation capacity over a period of nine years, bringing the total up to 3,700 rooms by 2019 compared to 1,700 in 2010. "

And Peter Andrews, Managing Director of Vastint Hospitality, added:“We are delighted to be partnering with Groupe ADP in the development of the Moxy at Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport, which will be our 20th hotel investment in Europe. We look forward to a successful launch of the hotel in spring 2019”.

The developing Roissypole district is currently the largest "Airport City" in the world with 360,000 sq.m of office space, hotels, shops and services. Located at the heart of Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport, the Roissypole business district boasts exceptional inter-modality with the CDGVAL shuttle, which serves all terminals, as well as the airport RER and TGV railway stations.
Following the opening of the Holiday Inn Express*** hotel (305 rooms) in January 2018, and in addition to the Moxy hotel, Roissypole West side will receive a Groupe ADP-owned Innside by Meliá hotel with 267 rooms in the first quarter of 2019.
The current Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport accommodation capacity totals 3,181 hotel rooms. Over the years, the Airport has become a major business hub in the heart of the Paris region's largest economic centre. This leading hub in continental Europe is accessible by road (A1, A3, and A104) and public transport (plane, TGV, RER B, and bus). The latter will see a significant, long-term improvement with the completion of the CDG Express direct rail link and the Grand Paris Express metro line 17
